Workshop 1 — Digital Maturity in Pharma: the roadmap toward AI-ready pharmaceutical manufacturing

    When: Monday 22 September 2026, 11:00–12:00

The digital transformation of pharmaceutical manufacturing does not start with AI: it starts on the shop floor. This one-hour workshop walks through the stages of digital maturity from an operations and manufacturing perspective: how to digitalize production processes, manage shop-floor data, and evolve the systems validation approach (from CSV to CSA) to build a connected, future-ready manufacturing environment. Beyond technology, the session addresses the changes in operating models, processes, and culture that determine whether a plant can truly capitalize on digitalization. Attendees will gain practical insights into how progress along this maturity path translates into greater agility, operational excellence, quality performance, and faster innovation, and into a solid foundation on which AI can deliver value in manufacturing.

Workshop 2 — Navigating FDA Inspections in the Age of Annex 1: From Warning Letters to Remediation Excellence

    When: Tuesday 23 September 2026, 12:00–14:00

Aseptic manufacturing remains under significant regulatory scrutiny, with FDA inspections and enforcement actions continuing to highlight recurring vulnerabilities in sterile manufacturing operations, quality systems and contamination control strategies. At the same time, EU GMP Annex 1 has reinforced expectations around proactive risk management, process understanding and sustained contamination control.

This workshop provides a practical perspective on how selected FDA inspection outcomes and Warning Letter findings can be used to strengthen inspection readiness and remediation strategies in sterile manufacturing environments. The session explores recurring themes observed in aseptic processing and quality oversight, and how these findings can be translated into meaningful actions such as improved investigations, stronger CAPA, enhanced governance and more robust remediation plans.
