Our story
In the summer of 2011, after much reflection, Bart Van Acker took a bold step and founded QbD Group.
With his bioengineering background and extensive experience in IT consultancy, Bart understood the market's needs and decided to seize the opportunity. This daring venture quickly proved to be successful.
Joining forces with his roommate Albert Verschoor, Bart established key contacts, leading to their first projects.
Today, QbD Group continues to serve some of the clients they originally engaged with back then!
Our story
Growing markets
Albert's Dutch background facilitated the official launch of QbD Netherlands in 2013, allowing Bart to concentrate on Belgium while Albert focused on the Dutch market.
As their client base grew, so did the need for more consultants. In response, Bart’s partner Elly De Bruyn joined QbD Group as HR Director in June 2013, helping manage the expanding team and continued growth in Belgium.
In 2016, QbD Group expanded internationally with the launch of QbD Spain in Barcelona, followed by the acquisition of BPF and the opening of QbD Mexico.
Driven by innovation
Recognizing the high costs of quality control software for smaller companies, QbD Group seized an opportunity in 2017 to develop an affordable, SaaS-based software solution. This innovative software, the only validated option on the market, allowed companies to pay only for what they used.
Despite planning a quieter year in 2018, QbD Group launched a new office in Colombia and a sales office in California, demonstrating that great opportunities often arise unexpectedly.
The momentum continued into 2019 with the establishment of QbD Wallonia. Committed to making our services and expertise available globally, QbD Group remains dedicated to further expansion and innovation.

Albert Verschoor
Albert Verschoor led QbD Netherlands from its inception, with a vision to replicate the growth achieved in Belgium while prioritizing exceptional customer satisfaction. His background in psychology and IT, combined with his extensive experience in consulting and sales across sectors like chemicals and petrochemicals, shaped his impactful role at Royal DSM. There, he played a key role in the company’s transition to life sciences and gained profound expertise in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Albert and Bart Van Acker first met during a GMP training session, where their professional relationship evolved into a close and enduring friendship. Albert’s leadership, vision, and dedication were pivotal to QbD Group’s success.
The pharmaceutical industry is experiencing a dynamic transformation. Innovations in medicine and biotechnology are advancing rapidly, research and development are increasingly scrutinized, and business models are evolving. QbD Group plays a crucial role in these changes, adding significant value to the process and contributing to products that improve lives. This vision is truly motivating to me.
