Almudena’s career began at the Spanish Medicines Agency and the European Medicines Agency (EMA), where she developed a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks. She later joined Farmaindustria, supporting pharmaceutical companies in navigating complex regulations and ensuring optimal positioning with both local and European authorities.
Pharmacovigilance and industry leadership
Transitioning into industry roles, Almudena served at Pfizer as a local Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV), where she honed her expertise in patient safety and pharmacovigilance. She was also a key member of the founding team at Azierta, where she spent over a decade leading a multidisciplinary team, driving business growth, and solidifying the company's reputation for excellence, particularly in pharmacovigilance services.
More recently, Almudena has held senior leadership positions at global consulting firms such as PharmaLex and PLG, where she successfully managed major accounts and led international commercial teams. Her ability to drive global strategies and align business objectives across diverse markets will play a crucial role in QbD Group’s continued expansion and leadership in vigilance.
Driving growth in Spain and global vigilance excellence
As Country Manager for Spain, Almudena will focus on strengthening QbD Group’s market presence, fostering strategic partnerships, and expanding its footprint in the region. In her capacity as Division Head of Vigilance, she will lead efforts to enhance excellence and innovation in patient safety, ensuring QbD Group remains at the forefront of this critical domain.
