The QbD Group is supporting a Research Chair for Precision Oncology Research in Glioblastoma (the most treatment-resistant and deadliest brain cancer) at the KULeuven.
In this way, the QbD Group is funding the research work of Prof. Frederik De Smet and Prof. Pieter Van Vlierberghe, combining their passion for life science and social engagement.
Bart, Frederik, Winnok and Pieter have all known each other for a long time since they all graduated as bioengineers in the same year.
Pieter was a close friend of the QbD management team. He was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2020 and unfortunately succumbed to the disease in 2022 after a courageous battle.
